Ignosi Partners becomes Novara Ignosi, the firm’s investment banking arm

Angsana Merchant Capital becomes Novara Global Capital VCC, its regulated fund platform

LONDON, SINGAPORE, TOKYO and NEW YORK — July 8, 2026 — Novara Advisory Partners (“Novara”), formerly known as Angsana Management, announced today that following its acquisition earlier this year of Angsana Merchant Capital (now Novara Global Capital VCC), it has also acquired Ignosi Partners (“Ignosi”), a Singapore-based advisory firm that is now Novara Ignosi. Both are now wholly owned by Novara and form, respectively, the foundation of the firm’s investment banking practice and its regulated fund platform. They come together with Novara Law, a cross-border legal practice that provides counsel to companies and investors, uniting three long-standing businesses under one firm.[1]

“I spent more than a decade in Big Law watching clients pay banks, lawyers, consultants and asset managers separately, then carry the cost of stitching the advice together,” said Marcus Wolter, Global Managing Partner and CEO of Novara. “The industry treated that as normal. I never did. Novara was built to end it. We bring investment banking, corporate law and strategy advisory into a single senior partnership, operating globally as one team and prepared to put our own capital behind our judgment.”

Novara Ignosi: The Investment Banking Pillar

Ignosi advises on M&A, fundraisings and cross-border transactions, with deep vertical knowledge in technology, fintech and financial services. It now operates as Novara Ignosi, the firm’s investment banking arm led by Takashi Toyokawa, Founding and Managing Partner of Ignosi, who becomes Partner and Head of Investment Banking at Novara.

“Ignosi earned its name guiding listed and private companies through cross-border deals and fundraisings. Built in Asia, executing across the globe,” said Toyokawa. “Our clients keep the team and the record they trust. What changes is the reach: legal execution beside the deal, strategy around it, all in one place. The companies that define the next decade will be built across borders. Novara was built for them.”

Novara Global Capital: The Fund Platform

Angsana becomes Novara Global Capital VCC and sits within Novara Strategy, the firm’s strategy advisory arm. Its founder, Robert Meyer, becomes Partner and Head of Strategy Advisory at Novara, while the fund itself remains managed by Lima Investment Management under its Capital Markets Services License.

The Novara Global Special Situations Fund, the platform’s flagship vehicle, has returned more than 20% annualized since Meyer took over as active portfolio manager in November 2022.[2]

The fund’s mandate has been expanded from its original natural rubber futures strategy to special situations across the capital structure, providing strategic capital when required. Additional specialist investment strategies are under development, with the first expected to launch later this year.

“The integration of our regulated fund platform completes Novara’s ability to advise, execute and invest alongside clients where appropriate,” said Meyer. “It creates a permanent platform for developing specialist investment strategies over the long term.”
