Novara is pleased to welcome Tony Andriotis as Partner and Global Head of Litigation & Regulatory, working across our New York and Tokyo offices.
Tony is a disputes and international arbitration lawyer with two decades of experience, most of it in Japan. At Novara, he works with our deal teams to identify dispute and regulatory risk before and during due diligence and deal execution, particularly on transactions between Asia and the United States. When disputes arise, he leads them, from negotiation and mediation through to arbitration and litigation.
Tony joins from DLA Piper, where he led the international arbitration practice in Tokyo, and was previously a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. Prior to law school, Tony worked at a U.S. subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. He began his legal career in New York at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae before serving as a federal law clerk at the United States Court of International Trade. He later worked at Hughes Hubbard & Reed in both New York and Tokyo, where he ultimately led the firm’s Tokyo office. He also spent a substantial long-term secondment at Nishimura & Asahi.
Tony sits as an arbitrator and mediator, including through the JCAA, ICC and HKIAC, and is the founding president of the Greek Chamber of Commerce in Japan. He teaches at Temple University's Tokyo campus and Keio University Law School.
